Apostle Betty J. Francis, D.Min.

 

Betty Francis born in Manning, S.C., to the late James and Overseer "Mother" Myrtle D. Francis, has resided in South Florida for the majority of her life.  She is an alumni of the Bethune Cookman College, where she received her undergraduate degree in Sociology.  She received the degree of Masters in Theological Studies as well as her Doctorate of Ministry from Evangel Center for Religious Studies.

In the professional and civic arena, she has the following to her credit:                                                                 

• Employment Counselor for the Broward Employment and Training Admin for 18 years;

• Radio Announcer and Minister from 1973 to the present;

• Past Board Member for Wackenhut Corporation’s Atlantic Shores Hospital;

• Author of “Being Single and Whole as a Christian Woman”;

• Author and Workshop Facilitator; “Communicating with Love”;

• Past Member of Florida Medical Center’s Ethics Committee;

• Pastoral Care Counselor for the Atlantic Shores Hospital;

• Past Vice President, Florida Chapter of the Gospel Announcers Guild of the Gospel Music Workshop of America;

• Past President of Justice for All in Broward (JAB);

• Major and Dean in the International Chaplains Association of Florida;

• Certified Addictions Counselor; 

• Certified Counselor with the American Association of Christian Counselors;

• Certified Counselor with the Black African-American Christian Counselors.

• State of Florida Pre-marital Counselor;

• Certified Education Specialist;

• National Child Development Associate Credential (CDA); and

• Florida Child Care and Education Program Director Credential.

 

In the religious realm:

• In October 1999, the “Late” Apostle Robert Evans, Jr. consecrated Bishop Betty Francis to the sacred office of Bishop, within the Beth-El Churches of Christ, Inc.  There she served as a Diocesan.

• She is the Senior Pastor of the Cathedral of Praise Worship Center, Inc., which is an affiliate of the Abundant Life Tabernacle Fellowship Ministries, under the Apostolic covering of Apostle Jasper Rolle, Jr.  She serves as the Vice-Bishop within this organization.

• Presiding Prelate of the Cathedral Coalition of Ministries, where she was affirmed an Apostle for her ministry assignment on August 17, 2018 ; and

• She is a member of the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops, under the leadership of Archbishop J. Delano Ellis II, Metropolitan. 

 

Bishop Francis has traveled extensively throughout the country preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  She is profound in her deliverance of God’s Word and anointed in the execution of the ministry gifts that God has given to her.                                                                                           

 

She is known for her kind spirit, charismatic nature, charming personality and her immeasurable ability to extend love.  She is also the mother of a daughter, Emily.

 

The testament of Bishop Francis’ spiritual convictions and life, which is evidenced in her daily walk, is found through the scriptures, in Romans 12:1.  “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
